More Details from Last Week's Appointment

We got a summary in the mail from Belalu's appointments last week. They used the AH growth charts for her.

Weight: 18lbs 13oz = 35th percentile
Length 25 inches = less than 3rd percentile
Weight for Length = 90th percentile
Head Circumference the letter says 19in (it's actually 18.75) = 1 standard deviation above 100th percentile

For the PT appoint, they looked at tone, motor patterns and fine and gross motor skills, using the Infanib and Peabody Developmental Motor Scales (2nd edition). Her total Infanib score was 92. For a one-year old, any score above an 82 is considered within the "normal" range. She had appropriate responses for all items except: greater hip abduction "than we might expect," very minimal foot grasp and is not yet showing backwards protective responses. "These last two are likely relation to not yet walking independently." It said the increased hip range "is related to her mild low tone." No mention made of her hypochondroplasia and how that is affecting her tone and flexibility.

On the Peabody Developmental Motor Scales, she was actually above her age range in some areas:
Stationary and Grasping at 14 months and Object Manipulation at 13 months. She was 12 months for Visual Motor Integration and 11 months for Locomotion, which are both considered "average" scores for her age.

Her overall gross motor quotient was 100 and her fine motor quotient was 106. Any motor quotient score between 90-110 is considered average.

It was overall a pretty uneventful day, which is good compared to the last few visits there. I still need to schedule her one year well-check visit with her regular ped at the hospital in town. I keep forgetting since we've had so many Dr.s' appointments in the past few months.
